When trauma results in a fractured tooth or worse yet knocks one out, it is very important to find the broken piece or the whole tooth, store it in somthing moist and get to your dentist within an hour ideally. Teeth that have been knocked out can be re-implanted and tooth fragments can be bonded back in place, as in this case. After all there is no better replacement than the original.
